Air-G Audio has released Air-G Pedalboard, a free VST3 plugin for Windows and Linux that brings all ten pedals from its Guitar Collection together in a single virtual pedalboard, built on the open-source DSP algorithms of Airwindows (Chris Johnson).
The pedalboard features six serial slots, each of which can host any of the ten pedals (EQ, Dist, Comp, Dual Drive, Chorus, Trem, Autopan, Vibra, Delay, and Verb) or be left empty. Pedals can be rearranged by dragging and dropping them between slots, allowing users to build and customize their signal chain.
Each pedal uses the exact same processing engine as its standalone version, with the same controls and sound. The plugin also features a built-in tuner with guitar and bass modes, alternate tunings, and chromatic mode, as well as a preset system with 32 locations across eight banks, nine factory presets, and support for DAW automation and MIDI Program Change.
The board is stereo in and stereo out. A full manual covers the pedalboard, preset management, and tuner. The ten individual pedals remain available as standalone plugins.
Availability
The plugin is available for Windows and Linux (64-bit VST3). Windows 10 or higher is required, while Linux requires GLIBC 2.35 or higher.
Air-G Pedalboard is free (pay what you want), with optional donations.
The project combines Airwindows’ open-source DSP code with custom graphical interfaces and original features designed to make the algorithms more accessible and practical for guitar processing. The pedalboard itself, including its slot system, presets, interface, and tuner, is original Air-G Audio work.
