Dropshot Audio has announced the release of Bagels V2 v1.0, describing it as “a proper release, with a whole lot of work under the hood and a much nicer instrument to use”.
Changes:
- Updated UI throughout — new knobs, sliders, displays, cleaner modulation matrix controls, and generally a more finished visual language.
- Optional output limiter, with output metering.
- Much lower CPU usage. There’s been a lot of optimisation work here, including SIMD voice processing, so larger patches should behave considerably better.
- Expanded modulation: pitch bend and mod wheel are now matrix sources, with new targets including bank pitch, fine tune and vibrato amount.
- Right-click a resonator bank to quickly set up sawtooth, square or triangle harmonic partials — for either that bank or all three banks together.
- Lots more factory presets, now organised into sensible categories.
- The standalone now automatically scales down on launch if its saved window size does not fit the current screen.
Bagels V2 remains free. It’s available for macOS, Windows and Linux, with VST3, AU, CLAP and standalone versions.
