Minikod has released a range of VST3/AU plugins for Windows and macOS that aim to bridge the gap between hardware synthesizers and DAW-based workflows, covering popular instruments from Moog, Arturia, Behringer, Erica Synths, and Korg.
The plugins come in two series:
The Recall series addresses a common hardware limitation: synths with no patch memory. Each Recall plugin is loaded as an insert effect on the hardware synth’s DAW channel; after manually mirroring the state of the hardware synth, all front-panel settings are stored inside the project file and restored on load.
The Remote series provides a full parameter editor inside the DAW and facilitates automation of hardware knobs via MIDI — including on devices that offer no dedicated MIDI output for parameter control.
Supported Hardware
Currently supported hardware includes the Moog Minimoog, Matriarch, Grandmother and Mother-32; Arturia MiniBrute 2 and MicroBrute; Behringer Model D, Wasp Deluxe, Pro-1, Kobol, JT-2, TD-3, JT Mini, and UB-Xa Mini; Erica Synths HexDrums and DB-01; and the Korg Volca Drum, Bass, Keys, Nubass, FM2, and Monologue.
Key Features:
- Recall series — stores complete patch settings of hardware synths with no onboard patch memory inside the DAW project file.
- Remote series — full parameter editor with DAW automation support for hardware without MIDI output.
- Expanded patch storage — Remote plugins extend beyond the synth’s native preset count.
- DAW insert workflow — plugins load as standard insert effects on hardware synth channels.
- TD-3 Recall — available free of charge.
Pricing & Availability
All plugins are available for 64-bit VST3 on Windows, VST3 and AU on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), and are priced at 9.50€. TD-3 Recall is free.
