Audiofier has released Micron Strigor and Cineloops Extreme, two new additions to its catalogue of cinematic instruments. They cost $29 each and require the full version of Kontakt.
Micron Strigor
Micron Strigor takes a more unconventional approach to source material, combining environmental noises, insects and critters, organic foley and other environmental textures with raw analogue synth waves, simple waveforms and oscillators. The resulting sounds are intended for cinematic work, science fiction, documentaries, biology and science-related content, experimental imagery, and scenes requiring an unusual or slightly skewed sonic character.
Cineloops Extreme
Cineloops Extreme is a collection of hybrid drums/percussion loops focused on tension, urgency and forward motion. It combines tight rhythmic patterns, evolving layers and processed percussion designed for dramatic underscore, suspense, pursuit and other situations where rhythm needs to support the scene without dominating it.
In this case, the name Extreme refers to the degree of processing and sound design applied to the source material rather than volume or impact.
