touski has released GrooveBloom, a VST3 effect plugin for Windows that listens to a drum loop or sample and plays melodies and chords on its rhythm.
Put GrooveBloom on a beat and it detects the key and chords live (or you can set them yourself), then plays a note or chord on every hit it finds. Notes can be played by the built-in synth and sampler, or sent out as MIDI to Serum, Vital or any other instrument.
Key Features:
- Key and chord detection, with an Auto mode that follows the sample as it changes.
- Transient engine with sensitivity, gate, grid from 1/4 to 1/32 (triplets and swing included).
- 4 play modes: Melody, Chords, Both, or Arpeggio, with chords from Triad to Add9 and strum.
- Loop Lock: lock a line for 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars, and Freeze holds the motif.
- MIDI out to your own synths.
- Sampler: load your own WAV or MP3, with pitch detection and 808 glides.
- 32 built-in sounds with drive, chorus, delay, reverb and pump.
- 25 presets, plus save your own and share banks as .gbpack files.
