Roland has announced JUPITER-08 and n/vision, two compact synthesizers in its Roland Boutique series. JUPITER-08 celebrates the JUPITER-8’s 45th anniversary with a sound engine and interface inspired by the original instrument. n/vision introduces a two-layer wavetable engine with nonlinear wave shaping and extensive modulation.
Both models include a K-25m keyboard dock, built-in speakers, battery or USB-C power, and USB audio/MIDI connectivity.
JUPITER-08
JUPITER-08 combines JUPITER-8-inspired synthesis with internally expandable polyphony of up to 32 voices. Roland says its voice allocation and pitch behavior have been refined for vintage-inspired response.
Features include:
- Two-part, 64-step polyphonic sequencer.
- Arpeggio function.
- 17 effects, including chorus and MFX, plus dedicated delay.
- Reverb with five types and a shimmer mode.

n/vision
n/vision uses two wavetable layers that can be blended and shaped through hands-on controls and deeper menu-based editing. Modulation sources can control wavetable position, layer balance, pitch, and shaping parameters. Its wave-shaper applies nonlinear processing to generate additional harmonics.
Sound-design features include:
- Step LFO, envelope modulation, and oscillator modulation.
- Motion recording and extensive parameter control.
- Analog-modeling filter with drive, plus multiple filter models inspired by classic synthesizers.
- The same effects processing options as JUPITER-08.
