Kiviak Instruments has announced WoFi LE, a compact addition to the WoFi hardware sampler family. Priced at $349 / €299, it sits below the original WoFi and ships alongside a permanent price cut on that model.
WoFi LE carries over the core sampling workflow: samples can be recorded, chopped, and swapped into a running sequence without stopping playback. Cue points allow real-time navigation between sections of a sample, and revision mode lets players recall alternate versions of sounds and sequences on the fly.
The unit uses a rubber keypad that doubles as a performance surface and sequencer. Storage is via microSD. Wi-Fi connectivity links to myWoFi, Kiviak’s cloud companion app, for sample sync and sharing. WoFi LE ships in white or black.
Compared to the original WoFi, the LE omits the built-in battery, speaker, memory cartridge, and traditional keyboard. It is positioned as an entry point for new users and a secondary unit for existing WoFi owners.
WoFi LE is for anyone who wants to dive into sampling and sound design without breaking the bank. It’s proof that accessibility and quality aren’t mutually exclusive.
