VB Audio Updates Voicemeeter – New Windows Audio Map for Complete System Visibility

VB‑Audio Software has announced what they describe as “a landmark update” to its Voicemeeter virtual mixing ecosystem, celebrating more than a decade of continuous development. This new version introduces significant improvements in stability, workflow, and system transparency—most notably the Windows Audio Map: This new visual tool makes the entire Windows audio system visible in real time. The Audio Map shows how devices, endpoints, and parameters interact with Voicemeeter.

Since its first official release in 2014, Voicemeeter has grown from a simple virtual mixer into a complete audio management layer for Windows. This new update reflects the maturity of a tool shaped by 10+ years of user feedback, thousands of support interactions, millions of real‑world configurations and continuous refinement of DSP, routing, and engine stability.

Windows Audio Map: Full Visibility of the Audio System

The highlight of the September 2026 update is the Windows Audio Map, a new visual interface that displays all Windows audio devices and applications, their formats, parameters and routing paths.

This map gives users a complete, real‑time overview of Windows audio, making it easier to diagnose issues, optimize routing, and understand how Voicemeeter integrates with the OS.

It marks a major step toward Voicemeeter becoming not just a mixer, but a full Windows audio management console.

Yellow and Green Limiter & VBAN Updates

This update includes a new limiter fx on strip and buses with the Yellow and Green Limiter.

The VBAN protocol is also maturing. With the new VBAN-Frame protocol, Voicemeeter can now capture screen and send it to VBAN-Screen application through network for screen mirroring or screen sharing over local network infrastructures.
