Sound Dust releases Drift Prequel – Modular Stacking Instrument for Kontakt

Sound Dust has announced the release of Drift Prequel, a hybrid Kontakt instrument built around a modular stacking system and a drift modulation engine.

Drift Prequel reworks material from earlier Sound Dust instruments – including Dulcitone 1884, Dulcitone 1900, Tiny Binaural Harpsichord and Grand Thrift Autoharp – into a single playable engine where 20 instruments can be layered to create hybrid combinations.

The instrument uses a drift modulation system to introduce pitch and tonal movement, from subtle wobble to more pronounced variation, adding character and instability to the sound.

The library includes more than 200 snapshots and 80 prebuilt modular stacks, designed for both performance and sound design applications. Stack instruments together to explore textured, evolving sounds and sonic combinations not possible in the standalone originals.

Pricing & Availability

Drift Prequel is available now and requires the full version of Kontakt. An introductory offer with a 50% discount is available for owners of the original instruments for a limited time, 30% intro offer for first timers.
