Musical Entropy has updated two of its plugins, Spaceship Delay and The Great Escape (an emulation of the Thrilltone dynamic tremolo pedal of the same name).
Both plugins are still free and were originally released as part of the 2016 KVR Developer Challenge but hadn’t been updated since, particularly regarding support for ARM/Silicon versions of macOS.
Now, both plugins are compatible with Windows, macOS (x64 and ARM), and support VST3, AudioUnit, AAX, and LV2/VST3/CLAP formats for Linux. They also include installers and new features, such as interface resizing, refined DSP, and other additions for Spaceship Delay (dark mode, a new placement for effects on the delay signal path, code optimization, more options for filters and non-linear processing, a redesigned user interface, help system improvements, a new phaser design, ducking, mix locking, etc.).
Furthermore, the developer indicated on his blog that he will continue working on Spaceship Delay, with some new features in development, such as a new user interface, some surprises related to the original concept of emulating the Korg Monotron Delay, and the upcoming release of a new commercial plugin.
Both plugins remain freeware and are still available at musicalentropy.com
