SonicModeler has announced the release of Syntropy 2.0, a major update to its formula-driven synthesizer and sound-design instrument for Windows and macOS.
Syntropy 2.0 introduces a faster and more intuitive workflow, improved performance, expanded sound-design capabilities, and a completely redesigned user interface.
New in Syntropy 2.0:
- Up to 16 directly controllable synthesis parameters per preset.
- An expanded effects section supporting up to five effects per preset.
- A new Convolution Reverb effect.
- An improved arpeggiator and envelope editor.
- A redesigned interface with five color themes.
- A new preset Navigator for faster and easier sound browsing.
- Expanded randomization tools for parameters, oscillators, and filters.
- Improved preset editing and sound-customization capabilities.
- New custom synthesis functions that extend the instrument’s sound-design possibilities, including physical modeling and wavetable techniques.
- Expanded options for high-quality offline rendering.
- Syntropy presets are cross-platform now.
- Improved performance and a faster overall workflow.
Syntropy 2.0 gives users deeper control over each sound while preserving its instrument-focused preset concept: every preset behaves as an individual instrument and can be shaped through its own carefully selected performance and sound-design controls.
The new factory library includes more than 200 carefully selected new presets, covering acoustic-inspired instruments, expressive leads, lush pads, basses, dance and rave grooves, vocal textures, cinematic effects, evolving atmospheres, and experimental sounds.
The original library of more than 500 presets is also included, providing access to sounds from previous versions and ensuring full compatibility with presets created in Syntropy 1.4.

Syntropy 2.0 launches at an introductory price of €69, available until August 14, 2026. The regular price of €99 takes effect on August 15, 2026.
