rncbc.org has announced the (northern) Summer’26 release of Qtractor version 1.6.2, for GNU/Linux.
Changes for this release:
- Warn about the danger in changing the MIDI clip file in the MIDI Clip Editor’s File/Properties… dialog.
- Also send MIDI Hold pedal off (CC#64) on Transport/Panic.
- Plugins are now added/inserted before the current selected one or appended to the list as before if none is actually selected.
- Show tool-tip when turning the mouse-wheel over a direct-access plugin parameter value slide. Shift/Ctrl+mouse-wheel modifiers now differing as coarse/fine direct-access adjustments resp.
- Fix MIDI Controller (un) mapping on tool-tips and whether it’s currently (un) mapped on the respective (un) checked context-menu entry.
- Optionally reset a previously selected/saved LV2 Plug-in UI type when View/Options…/Plugins/Editor (GUI) /Select plugin’s editor type if more than one are available option is turned off.
- New user preference option introduced (cf. View/Options…/Plugins/Editor (GUI) /Keep plugin editors always on top).
- Fixed crash when selecting the “Don’t ask this again” option on some message-box prompts.
- Updated to CLAP v1.2.9.
