Pine DSP releases Blox Exciter – Three-Mode Saturator Plugin (VST3, AU & AAX)

Pine DSP has announced the release of Blox Exciter, a three-mode saturator plugin for macOS and Windows.

Three saturation modes are provided, with each offering a different way to distort the signal:

  • Ember provides a warm overdrive;
  • Reel introduces a nostalgic, magnetic tape distortion;
  • Glass gives a sharp, edgy tone.

Controls:

  • All modes features Air, Drive and Tilt controls:
    • Air adds high energy that’s still related to the input signal through odd harmonics.
    • Drive pushes the signal into the saturation stage.
    • Tilt changes the balance pre-distortion between low and high frequencies.
  • In Reel mode, two more controls are available:
    • Hysteresis affects softness and the amount of transient blur;
    • Bias adjusts asymmetry in the simulated reel.
  • Output and Mix controls are available, and the plugin can be bypassed.

Pricing & Availability

Blox Exciter is available for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for the introductory price of €3 until 13th October (Reg. €19).
