Parallel Minds Studio has brought Reverie, its ambient soundscape generator, to iPad. The app is available now on the App Store as a free download, running the same native C++ audio engine as the macOS and Windows versions.
Reverie Ambient Soundscape Generator
The idea is simple: take a sample, a loop, a song, or a field recording and stretch it into long, drifting soundscapes and drones. A few seconds of audio can become many minutes of calm, cinematic texture. Drop in a file from the Files app or by drag and drop, pick a style, then shape the result with four simple sliders: variation, brightness, stretch, and duration. No music theory, no plug-ins, no studio needed, and every render comes out a little different.
More than twenty styles are included, from warm and luminous to dark, aquatic, choral, and deep drone, plus twenty ready-made presets such as Deep Ocean, Cathedral, Infinite Drone, Frozen Time, and Forest Breathing. To go further, the custom chain builder lets users assemble their own effect chain from thirty-seven DSP modules, including time-stretching, spectral freezing, shimmer reverb, tape saturation, and resonators, reorder and tune every parameter, and save custom chains as presets.
Everything runs entirely on the iPad. There is no account, no internet connection, and nothing sent to a server. Audio stays on the device, and everything made with the app is royalty-free.
Reverie is free to download with six styles and a set of presets. A single one-time purchase unlocks the full library, longer renders up to thirty minutes, extreme stretching, the seed system for reproducible results, and the custom chain builder. There is no subscription.
