MMPR Technologies has released Diodorus, a synth plugin based on the idea: “what if the ideal virtual analog machines of the late 90s were condensed into one software plugin?”
Diodorus isn’t an emulation of one specific virtual analog synth but instead gives the sounds that a generation of virtual analog hardware supplied, like saw stacks, trance pads, modern leads and cutting basses.
Diodorus aims to be the ideal VA synth machine of 1997, and brings back into focus the classic hardware VA feature of morphing between two entire sounds with one easy control in a plugin. The user can load two entirely different patches into A and B, then sweep a single control to morph between them. Automate it, or make fast manual adjustments.

- Polyphony: 24 voices (split 12 + 12 across the two timbral slots in Layer/Split).
- Engine: bitimbral — Single, Layer, Split, and Scene Morph modes.
- Presets: over 500 presets across 20 categories, plus user presets.
