NK Badtz Maru’s Summer Rave Nostalgia. Rising Brooklynite techno DJ NK Badtz Maru contributes the latest Discwoman mix. She explains that she’s “been feeling nostalgic for magical NY summer raves” and that the mix is “a love letter to the rave and all the ravers and also an apology for the time I forgot I liked techno”. Highly regarded for his Unknown To The Unknown imprint and for his own house and techno productions, DJ Haus gives a rundown of where his chunky retro dance sound is at currently, ahead of the release of his new EP Let My Brain Go, via the legendary Chiwax. Alexander Nut’s Flavour of the Day. Alexander Nut is an influential resident of RinseFM and head of Eglo Recordings, which has brought to the public great UK artists like Fatima, Funkineven, Floating Points and others. Serge’s Extended Thriller. Via Amsterdam club Shelter’s Live Series, an epic four-hour live recording of Serge of the mighty Clone imprint, performing selections of modern, upbeat techno. It is a “thriller of an opening set”, opening for Ellen Allien, who performed in Shelter last January. Stream above.
Nina’s Monolith. Hamberg-based Golden Pudel Club resident DJ and VIS co-founder Nina compiles mixtapes exploring drone, industrial, synthwave and experimental electronics for labels like Blackest Ever Black offshoot Krokodilo Tapes and others.
