Ill Sea has released its first two plugins, Illthy Toonz and Illthy Wines. Both are free Windows 64-bit VST3 plugins, with no signup, no account and no registration required.
Illthy Toonz
Illthy Toonz is a strobe tuner. The scrolling LCD is the meter itself rather than a needle: the bands drift one way when the note is sharp and the other when it is flat, slowing to a stop as the string comes into tune.Detection is reliable from standard tuning down through 8-string and drop tunings, to roughly 23 Hz. It runs as a zero latency pass-through, so the signal is unaltered. Reference A4 is adjustable from 415 to 466 Hz, with transpose for capos and a switchable sharps or flats display.
Illthy Wines
Illthy Wines is an expressive wah. It uses a nonlinear zero-delay-feedback core and offers three voicings, with full pedal travel and no dropout at the heel or toe positions. It binds to a MIDI expression pedal and can be calibrated to the physical travel of that pedal, so the sweep matches the hardware rather than assuming a fixed range. A second control page exposes Q, grit and sweep parameters for finer adjustment.
Availability
Both plugins are signed, require no additional runtimes, and share the engine used in NoAMP, the company’s forthcoming NAM capture loader.
Illthy Toonz v0.4.2 and Illthy Wines v0.4.1 are available now as free downloads from illsea.com
