HOFA-Plugins releases HOFA SYSTEM ThirdPartyPluginLoader – Multiband, Mid/Side and More for Every Plugin You Already Own

HOFA-Plugins has announced the release of ThirdPartyPluginLoader, an add-on for its modular processing environment HOFA SYSTEM.

The ThirdPartyPluginLoader allows producers, mixing and mastering engineers to load their existing plugins directly into HOFA SYSTEM and combine them freely with SYSTEM’s modules, routing structures and modulation sources.

HOFA-Plugins explains:

The result is a significant expansion of an engineer’s existing plugin collection. A classic 1176 or LA2A emulation can be run as a multiband compressor. A Pultec-style EQ can be placed in a dedicated mid/side configuration for mastering work. Two plate reverbs can run in parallel for greater spatial depth, or a tube distortion and a reverb can be inserted into a feedback loop together. None of these plugins need to offer such features themselves – SYSTEM supplies the surrounding architecture.

This is possible now with any plugin:

  • Multiband – operate any loaded plugin frequency-dependently within the SYSTEM Multiband module.
  • Mid/Side and Left/Right – process each component of the stereo image separately.
  • Parallel – blend dry and wet signals or run several independent signal paths side by side.
  • Feedback – build creative feedback loops around third-party processors.
  • Oversampling – reduce aliasing on saturation, distortion and clipper plugins that offer no internal oversampling.
  • Plugin chains – assemble custom channel strips from favourite plugins and save them complete with routing, modulation and all plugin settings for recall in other projects.
  • Parameter modulation and automation – control the parameters of loaded plugins from the DAW and from SYSTEM’s own modulators.

Cross-Format Compatibility

Because HOFA SYSTEM itself runs as VST3, AU and AAX, the ThirdPartyPluginLoader also resolves another problem: plugin formats a given DAW does not natively support. VST plugins become usable in Logic, AU plugins in Cubase, and both VST and AU plugins in Pro Tools.

Free and Full Versions

Like every plugin in the HOFA SYSTEM series, the ThirdPartyPluginLoader is available as freeware with a reduced feature set. The free version loads one external plugin into HOFA SYSTEM – enough to extend a single plugin with multiband, mid/side or oversampling capability. The full version removes that restriction, hosting as many third-party plugins simultaneously as the project requires and wiring them into complex chains, parallel setups and multiband racks.

About HOFA SYSTEM

The ThirdPartyPluginLoader is a part of the HOFA SYSTEM modular plugin platform which offers a flexible environment for audio processing. With over 30 effect modules – including EQs, compressors, reverbs and modulation – users can create custom signal chains tailored to their workflow. Features like drag-and-drop routing, parallel and serial processing, multiband capabilities, and mid/side options make HOFA SYSTEM a versatile tool for mixing, mastering and sound design.
