FRCTL Audio releases DUKR – zero-latency sidechain ducker with frequency carving

FRCTL Audio has released DUKR, a sidechain ducker for producers who want to trace the duck from the sidechain, shape it by hand and carve out only the frequencies that clash, with zero latency.

DUKR’s Trace function reads whatever is on the sidechain and draws the duck from it with one click, so each hit becomes a drop that follows its real decay. Every point of the curve stays editable afterwards. The second stage, Carve, turns the track down only in the frequencies the sidechain is playing, and only while it plays, so a pad can make room for a vocal without the whole pad getting quieter. Neither stage adds latency, so DUKR can stay on while recording.

Key Features

  • The duck follows the host tempo with nothing routed, fires on every hit in the sidechain, or fires on a MIDI note, with velocity scaling the depth so ghost notes duck less than accents.
  • Separate low, mid and high bands on the duck, so a bass can duck under the kick and keep its top end.
  • Carve with up to four bands, each working on the full signal, the centre or the sides, so a wide sound keeps its stereo width.

Pricing & Availability

DUKR is available now from FRCTL Audio for Windows, macOS and Linux in VST3, AU and CLAP formats. It costs USD 18.99, with an introductory price of USD 13.99 until November 30, 2026. A free 14-day trial of the full plug-in is available. For the MIDI trigger in Logic Pro, the download includes a second AU, DUKR MIDI. DUKR was released on October 29, 2026.
