Fender Rebrands PreSonus Ecosystem: Launches Fender Studio Pro 8, Quantum Interfaces, and Motion Controllers

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) has announced a significant restructuring of its digital and recording portfolio, unifying PreSonus Studio One Pro and its recording interface lines under the Fender brand. Effective immediately, Studio One Pro has been rebranded as Fender Studio Pro, while the Quantum and AudioBox lines have transitioned to the Fender Quantum Series and Fender AudioBox Go.

This strategic shift integrates the PreSonus recording ecosystem directly with Fender’s guitar and bass legacy. While the recording software and interfaces move to the Fender name, the PreSonus brand will continue to exist for specific hardware categories, including Eris monitors, StudioLive mixers, and Air XD loudspeakers. Existing PreSonus customers will now be serviced through the new MyFender platform, which replaces MyPreSonus.

Fender Studio Pro 8

Formerly Studio One Pro, Fender Studio Pro 8 introduces a modernized user interface and integrates native Fender processing. The DAW now includes the Mustang and Rumble Native plugins, offering 57 guitar and bass amp models and various effects derived from Fender’s hardware modeling.

Key workflow updates include a new Channel Overview for mixing, updated Sample One and Impact samplers, and an AI-powered Audio-to-Note conversion feature for translating audio recordings into editable MIDI. New composition tools include a Chord Assistant and “intelligent chord technology.”

Fender Quantum and AudioBox Interfaces

The hardware lineup has been refreshed to align with the new branding, featuring integration with the Fender Studio Pro software:

  • Fender Quantum LT: A series of three interfaces featuring custom low-latency drivers and MAX-HD microphone preamps with 75 dB of gain. The units include loopback routing and instrument inputs optimized for Fender guitars. The flagship Quantum LT 16 offers 8 combo mic inputs, 8 additional TRS line inputs, MIDI I/O, and DC-coupled outputs for modular synthesis.

  • Fender Quantum HD: Geared toward higher-end production, these interfaces feature 32-bit/192 kHz converters and Auto Gain functionality. They include re-amp outputs for hardware integration and DSP monitor mixing. The HD 2 offers a 20×24 I/O configuration, while the HD 8 expands to 26×30 with ADAT support.

  • Fender AudioBox Go: A compact 2×2 USB-C interface supporting 24-bit/96 kHz recording. It features one instrument input, one mic/line combo input, and bus power for portable applications.

Fender Motion Controllers

Fender has also announced the Fender Motion series, a new line of production controllers designed for Fender Studio Pro. Expected in Spring 2026, these controllers feature FATAR pads, illuminated encoders, and touch strips. They provide physical control over timeline navigation, session management, and device parameters, utilizing specific integration with the host software.
