CARP Audio has released a free update for Swing Master, its real-time audio swing plugin designed to add groove directly to audio loops without MIDI or offline processing. The update focuses on improving audio quality during transient slicing by introducing a reworked de-clicking system.
Swing Master generates swing by slicing incoming audio along the DAW’s beat grid and delaying selected steps in the sequence. Because this involves real-time audio slicing, non-zero crossings can produce clicks or transient artifacts. The new update introduces a refined de-clicking algorithm that applies micro-fades and local smoothing operations in a more musically aware way, resulting in cleaner transient handling and less audible switching.
According to the developer, the new approach reduces clicks without introducing smearing or time-based blurring, preserving the original micro-timing and punch of the loop, particularly on percussive material.
Swing Master remains focused on loop and audio-driven workflows, allowing producers to swing drum loops, percussion and rhythmic samples without manually cutting clips or shifting audio off-grid.
