FeelYourSound has released version 1.9.0 of its free MIDI generator plug-in SongEngine (VST + AU).
New in SongEngine 1.9.0:
- Chords can now be moved by dragging them directly on the Chord Timeline.
- Added an option to display flats or sharps for chord names. This can be configured under “Settings >> Chords View >> Only show sharps”.
- Notes in the Chord Timeline can now be moved across a wider range of octaves.
- Improved chord naming in ambiguous cases by preferring more common chord names, for example F# m6 instead of D# m7-5 / F#.
- Chord Pads can now be moved by dragging them onto another Chord Pad. Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Option (Mac) while dragging to create a copy instead.
- More space is now available for Chord Pads when needed by reducing the height of the Chord Timeline. Click on the up arrow near the “More” button to activate this mode.
- Improved chord name detection for more accurate chord names.
- Added up/down indicators when hovering over a note in a chord to make octave changes easier to recognize.
- Improved vertical scrolling while dragging notes. The view now adjusts only after the drag-and-drop operation has finished.
- Chords can now be moved from the Chord Timeline to a Chord Pad.
- Bug fix: Improved Chords Import.
