FeelYourSound has released version 1.7.0 of its free MIDI generator plug-in SongEngine (VST + AU).
SongEngine automatically turns any chord progression into new arpeggios, basslines, and complex piano phrases.
If you don’t have your own chord progressions yet, you can use one of the included chord progression generators. You can also explore chords by ear with the built-in chord progression builder.
SongEngine is suitable for all genres, and it comes with a big list of presets for all occasions.
New in SongEngine 1.7.0:
- Three new Chord Pad generators for diatonic chords are now available. Each generator automatically displays the relevant chords for the selected scale. “Diatonic chords (up to 4 notes) “, “Diatonic chords (up to 5 notes) “, and “Diatonic chords (up to 7 notes) “.
- New default for Chord Pad Collection page 3: “Diatonic chords (up to 4 notes) “.
- New default for Chord Pad Collection page 4: “Diatonic chords (up to 7 notes) “.
- Added a new “Clear” button to the “Edit notes” dialog. To access it, right-click a Chord Pad and choose “Edit notes”.
- Bug fix: Some DAWs were not notified when changes occurred in SongEngine.
- Bug fix: Entering a search term and pressing Enter worked correctly, but clicking the “Search” button could revert to an older search term.
