Benjamin Guerrero has updated Sympiano, the free sympathetic string resonance reverb that turns the inside of a piano into an effect, to version 1.0.4. This is a bug-fix and compatibility release that improves how it behaves across DAWs and hosts on both macOS and Windows.
Offline bounces now capture the full reverb tail instead of clipping it at 30 seconds, and the resonance rings identically regardless of your host’s audio buffer size, so the sound is consistent from one DAW to the next. MIDI notes and the CC64 sustain pedal are applied with sample-accurate timing, the decay stays accurate at the darkest brightness settings, and a batch of smaller readout, menu, and editor-close bugs are fixed. The interface is now resizable and zoomable, and remembers the size you leave it.
Sympiano is free on macOS (Audio Unit, VST3, standalone) and Windows (VST3, standalone).
