Vitric Audio has released version 1.3.0 of Bevel EQ, its 24-band dynamic EQ for macOS and Windows.
Any dynamic bell or shelf band can now be keyed from an external sidechain: choose Dynamic source > External sidechain on the band and route another track into Bevel’s sidechain input. A typical use is dipping the low end of a bass only while the kick hits, or easing a frequency range in a pad when the vocal comes in. Detection runs through the band’s own filter shape, threshold, range, attack and release, and the sidechain signal never reaches the output. Bands set to Internal behave exactly as before.
The external sidechain is available in the VST3 and AU versions; the AAX version keeps its previous layout.
