Ina GRM releases GRM Tools Atelier for Windows (updated to v1.0.2)

Ina GRM has updated GRM Tools Atelier to v1.0.2, which also sees the first release for Windows.

Atelier is a modular environment for creative sound manipulation and generative synthesis, designed to encourage an exploratory approach to music making, and inviting you to play it like an instrument. Eight simple but powerful modules, a completely novel polyadic modulation engine, unbounded multichannel processing… and much more.

More than 30 years after the first release of our legendary software suite, GRM Tools, we are proud to introduce Atelier, a new milestone in GRM’s software history and the beginning of a new era.

Atelier is a reinvention of the venerable GRM Tools suite: while respecting and preserving the underlying philosophy, it bears no single line of code in common with its older sibling.

Added

  • Windows support. A Windows installer is now available, containing the standalone app and the plugin (VST3, AAX).
  • New output limiter to avoid clipping and protect ears/speakers. It affects the global output (plugin and app), as well as the recordings. When toggled manually, its state is saved as the default for new patches.
  • Modules with cursor areas now display textual X/Y values when hovering, for more precise control.
  • Control: add Running toggle button. Disabling it holds the latest value until re-enabled, for track-and-hold applications.
  • Control, Peak: add Polyadic toggle buttons. Like Agitation, disabling it makes this Control/Peak single-instance, and sends the same signal to all its destinations.
  • Gen: add the ability to set Y axis as Gain instead of Spread.
  • Patch library: added Andrew Huang’s patches to the factory library.

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug where renamed recordings would appear with their old name when re-opening the list of recordings.
  • Fixed saving, loading and undo/redoing the resizing of processors.
  • Fixed height and default zoom level of plugin.

Pricing & Availability

GRM Tools Atelier for macOS and Windows is currently available for the introductory price of 199.00 € (Reg. 249.00 €).
