2B Played Music has announced the release of BassFrame, a new bass shaping plugin designed to add weight, focus, punch and harmonic character to the low end.
At the centre of BassFrame are five processing engines, Tight, Thick, Punch, Synth and Wide, each offering a different approach to shaping the low end. Dedicated controls for Focus, Weight, Drive, Contour, Air and Output allow the processing to range from subtle enhancement to more pronounced bass transformation.
BassFrame is intended for bass guitars, synth basses, kick drums, drum loops and other material where additional low frequency weight, definition or harmonic character is required.

Instead of relying on EQ alone, BassFrame combines low frequency reinforcement, harmonic shaping and dedicated bass processing in one focused workflow. Focus selects the area you want to work on, Weight strengthens the foundation, and Drive adds harmonic energy and character.
Five processing engines provide different approaches to the low end. Tight is focused on controlled definition, Thick adds body and harmonic weight, Punch brings more attack and impact, Synth generates an octave down layer that follows the detected bass pitch, and Wide adds width and harmonic presence while keeping the deepest part of the signal focused.
Additional controls such as Contour and Air make it possible to shape the balance and definition of the result, while BassFrame can move from subtle reinforcement to much more obvious low end transformation.
The idea was to create a plugin that can add something meaningful to the foundation of a sound, rather than simply making the existing bass louder.
