United Plugins has announced the release of Continuum, a new dual-engine spatial delay processor developed by partner brand JMG Sound.
Designed around the philosophy of “Modern brain, vintage heart,” Continuum aims to bridge the gap between vintage hardware characters and modern spatial processing. Rather than acting as a simple repeat effect, Continuum functions as an interactive canvas capable of morphing staccato echoes into blooming, three-dimensional reverb washes.
Dual Delay Engines & Vintage Models
Continuum features two identical, independent delay processing units that can run completely different delay configurations simultaneously:
- Three Vintage Models: Instant selection between TAPE (warm saturation and wow/flutter), BBD (dark, degraded bucket-brigade clock rate reduction), and DIGITAL (crunchy bit-crushed lo-fi textures).
- MOJO Parameter: Exaggerates the underlying physical imperfections and circuit quirks unique to each modelled character.
Cross-Feed & Spatial Movement
- Cross-Feed Network: Sends the feedback loop of Delay 1 into Delay 2 and vice versa.
- Diffused Reverb Smearing: All-pass filters inside the cross-feed network allow users to smear hard delay taps into lush, decaying reverb spaces.
- 12 Spatial Pan Modes: Includes Mid/Side, Haas offset, 3D Orbit rotation, dynamic Converge/Diverge stereo width transitions, and multiple ping-pong styles.
- Humanised Rhythmic Feel: Injects human groove through Shuffle swing, Odd/Even repeat volume accents, syncopated Groove settings, and Early/Late timing shifts.
- Organic LFO Modulation: Includes smooth Sine sweeps, analogue Drift, and true random (Rand) pitch modulation.
- Smart Randomisation: A dedicated RAND button generates fresh, balanced parameter combinations for fast idea generation.
Pricing and Availability
Continuum is available now for macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
To mark the launch, United Plugins is offering Continuum at an introductory price of €15 (regularly €79) until September 30, 2026.
A fully functional 15-day trial version can be installed via the UnitedPluginsManager.
