Triple Spiral Audio has announced the release of Alternate, a new cinematic library for the full version of Kontakt 7 and Kontakt 8 that comes with a total of 514 snapshots on release (per Kontakt version). Additional presets will be included in future updates.
The library includes a collection of five instruments:
- Tonal – 4 layers with 80 tonal soundsources – 117 presets/snapshots.
- Experimental – 4 layers with 80 experimental soundsources – 106 presets/snapshots.
- Destruction – 4 layers with 45 percussive and 35 distorted soundsources – 88 presets/snapshots.
- Blend I – 1 layer with tonal, 1 layer with experimental and 2 layers with percussive/distorted soundsources – 101 presets/snapshots.
- Blend II – 2 layers with tonal and 2 layers with percussive distorted soundsources – 102 presets/snapshots.
Each instrument features 4 sound groups, with 80 sound sources per instrument. These groups can be blended in real time using an XY pad.

Alternate has an introductory price of €55.25 until 30 June (MSRP €85,-).
The library comes with a version for Kontakt 7.8 and Kontakt 8.3:
- The Kontakt 8 version uses Monark filter, Skreamer Deluxe Kolor, Gater FX.
- The Kontakt 7 version uses LP4 Ladder filter, Skreamer, Saturation, Wow Flutter FX.
