Pine DSP has announced the release of Blox Rack, a modular effects rack plugin with six processors that can all be loaded as individual plugins.
Blox Rack expands the concept of a rack of vertical modules, adding a top horizontal panel for finer details such as EQ and modulation.
Features:
- Modular Effects Rack:
- Six modules (EQ, Exciter, Compressor, Chorus, Delay and Reverb) can be loaded within the Blox Rack plugin to form a chain of processors.
- Each module can be loaded multiple times, re-ordered and duplicated.
- Vertical Units, Horizontal EQ:
- Blox Rack offers a pop-out horizontal panel to let users EQ using a graphical display with a spectrum analyzer, keeping a comprehensive EQ in view alongside other rack modules.
- Individual Module Plugins:
- Each of the six modules are available as separate plugins in a DAW, and some can be purchased individually (Blox Exciter, Blox Delay).
- 500 Presets:
- Get instant starting points or full creative chains.
- Presets in Blox Rack are tagged by instrument and mood.
- Select multiple tags to find something that works quickly, and pick a random preset from the currently selected options.
- Modulation Throughout:
- Six macros are always visible on the left-hand side of the plugin.
- With the modulation panel open at the top of the interface, four LFOs and an envelope follower can be routed as sources for modulation throughout the plugin.
- An XY pad is also available for 2D hands-on control.
- Controls inside the rack modules can be assigned via right-click to DAW automation slots.
