IK Multimedia has released ARC STUDIO+, a hardware room correction system with computer-free calibration, automatic subwoofer integration and digital audio connectivity. The new model joins the original ARC Studio, which remains in the lineup.
Users can connect an ARC measurement microphone directly to the dedicated ARC MIC port and start a 1-point or 3-point calibration from the hardware. The processor measures the room response and applies correction onboard. The included ARC X software supports multi-point 3D spatial analysis for more detailed calibration.
For Stereo + Sub configurations, a dedicated subwoofer output works with automatic crossover management, level matching and phase alignment between the main speakers and subwoofer.
Additional features include:
- USB-C digital audio input and optical S/PDIF input and output, supporting a digital signal path to compatible monitors or external D/A converters.
- Balanced analog inputs and outputs for connection to consoles, audio interfaces and monitor controllers.
- Internal DSP processing that operates independently of DAW plugin chains and computer CPU load.
- Three onboard scenes with physical buttons for switching between listening positions, monitor emulations or monitoring customizations.
- Selectable, relay-based hard bypass with protection against power pops.
- Specified hardware dynamic range of 120 dB(A).
