Amy Nicola McBride has released Vesper, a virtual analogue synthesiser available as a standalone instrument and AUv3 plug-in for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Vesper has two main oscillators, with Swarm expanding Oscillator B into up to 15 related voices per played note. Oscillator tuning includes musical ratios and free retuning.
Sound-shaping features include Fold wavefolding, Glow saturation, resonant filters, two assignable Orbit modulation sources, stereo delay and Space reverb. Performance features include an arpeggiator, MPE, MIDI 2.0 input with per-note pitch bend, pressure and timbre, polyphonic aftertouch and Scala tuning import.
Six free soundbanks containing 46 presets are available from the website. Visual artwork is by OcularDebris.
