Acustica Audio Releases Purple 4 Suite With Hyper Engine Upgrade and New MT Ultra Mastering EQ

Acustica Audio has announced their Purple 4 plugin suite, described as an ‘extensive collection of legendary passive equalizers’. The update introduces the new Purple 4 MT Ultra plugin and brings several improvements to the suite.

Purple 4 now contains eight individual plugins, emulating both authentic vintage units and modern re-issues of passive equalizer designs. The suite is available in VST3, AAX, and AU formats.

The update includes the addition of the Purple 4 MT Ultra. This upgrade also brings essential improvements such as a resizable GUI, various listening modes, an upgraded plugin engine, bug fixes, and performance optimizations for a more efficient and stable user experience.

The Purple 4 suite consists of the following separate plugins:

  • Purple 4 P1 (Vintage tube-based, passive program Equalizer).
  • Purple 4 PAA (Tube-based passive program Equalizer reissue).
  • Purple 4 M5 (Classic mid-range tube EQ).
  • Purple 4 M5V (Vintage classic mid-range tube EQ).
  • Purple 4 H2 (Vintage single-channel tube EQ).
  • Purple 4 HLF (Passive 12dB/oct high/low pass filter).
  • Purple 4 Pre (Preamp standalone module).
  • NEW Purple 4 MT Ultra (Mastering True Stereo EQ).

Purple 4 MT Ultra is described as a high-end stereo mastering equalizer plugin inspired by a renowned solid-state EQ. It offers dual independent controls for left and right channels per EQ band, which can be linked, and supports M/S (Mid/Side) processing. It also includes features like precision filtering and enhanced saturation.
