Acon Digital has released a major update to Multiply, their free chorus effect plug-in (and winner of the KVR Developer Challenge 2014). This new version brings a redesigned user interface and 80 new presets, making Multiply’s chorus, widening, and sound-design capabilities easier to access and shape.
Multiply is built around a phase-randomising filter applied to each simulated voice, avoiding the metallic comb-filtering that plagues many conventional chorus effects. The plugin can simulate up to six additional voices, with independent pitch and loudness modulation, a five-band equaliser to shape the effect signal, and an integrated pre-delay section for modulated, diffuse echo effects.
Multiply 2 is free to everyone and available for both Windows and macOS, supporting VST, VST3, AU and AAX formats in any compatible host, including Pro Tools.
