AudioThing has released Materia, an additive re-synthesizer plugin.
Materia transforms any sample into a playable instrument. Load a sound and Materia analyses it into harmonic partials, each with its own frequency, amplitude, phase, and complex envelope.
From there, you can reshape the spectrum, redraw how individual partials evolve, add resonant material models, filtering, and modulation, then play the result polyphonically.

Materia is available for macOS, Linux and Windows in VST2, VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP plugin formats for an introductory price of $39 until October 31st, 2026 (Reg. $69).
