Pine DSP has announced the release of Blox Delay, a three mode delay plugin for macOS and Windows.
Three delay types are provided, with each offering a different character:
- Normal provides a classic delay with independent left/right delay lines;
- Ping Pong crosses the feedback for alternating stereo repeats;
- Diffuse transforms the tail through four stages of modulated diffusion for ambient echoes.
Controls
All modes feature Sync, Link, Duck, Delay Time and Feedback controls:
- When enabled, Sync locks the delay to the host tempo, changing the delay time controls to beat devisions. Disable Sync to use free rate delay time.
- Link will pair the delay time controls so that setting one will automatically change the other. Disable Link to have different left and right delay times.
- Duck shapes the wet signal around your source sound. Press the + icon to see an extended display with dedicated Depth, Threshold, Attack, and Release controls. Live input level and gain reduction displays make it easy to see when the ducking engages and how hard it is working.
- Feedback changes how long it takes for the repeats to fade. Next to the feedback knob, press the Feedback Filters button to switch displays control High-pass and Low-pass filters that sit inside the feedback loop.
- When in diffuse mode, enable the Wash button for denser, recirculating diffusion. Wash pulls separate repeats together into a smooth, reverb like cloud when you want more space and less definition.
- Output and Mix controls are available, and the plugin can be bypassed.
