13x Audio updates Aurora to v1.5 with Delta monitoring, auto gain and multi-instance editing

Delta plays only the signal the EQ removes

13x Audio has released version 1.5 of Aurora, its free 24-band dynamic EQ for Windows, macOS and Linux.

Aurora offers up to 24 parametric EQ bands with per-band dynamics, a live spectrum analyzer with direct curve editing, stereo, mid/side and left/right band placement, and zero-latency, natural and linear phase modes. Its Smart Ops analyse incoming audio and create editable EQ bands for reference matching, resonance control, de-essing and unmasking.

The update adds a Delta mode that plays only the signal the EQ removes, making it easy to check that dynamic bands or Smart Ops are not taking out too much.

A new auto gain option compensates level changes for fair before/after comparisons, and an instance overview lets users view and edit every Aurora instance in a project from a single window.

Version 1.5 also introduces a redesigned interface, a De-harsh stage that can work on the whole signal, and several fixes reported by users, including a REAPER issue where the selected band was not remembered when switching between plugins in the FX chain.

Aurora 1.5 is available as a free download for Windows 10/11 (VST3, CLAP), macOS 11 or later as a universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel (AU, VST3, CLAP), and Linux x86_64 (VST3, CLAP, LV2). No account, licence key or trial period is required.
