Sound Dust has announced the release of Drift Clouds, a hybrid Kontakt instrument built around strings played with string.
Drift Clouds reworks the source material from the original Cloud series into a new engine capable of stacking, morphing, warping and detuning articulations into oscillator-like textures. At its core is a wander system – two layers of weather that introduce slow, unpredictable movement across the instrument, from subtle drift to full-blown chaos.
The library is built for both performance and sound design, from recognisable bowed-string tones through to the agricultural.
