Parish Audio releases free Gain Knob Gain and Stereo Utility Plugin

Parish Audio has released Gain Knob, a streamlined utility plugin for making common level, stereo, mono, and polarity adjustments throughout a signal chain.

Gain Knob can be placed before or after other processors to raise or lower the signal, manage gain staging, compensate for level changes, or match the loudness of different processing chains.

The plugin includes a large central gain control with stereo input and output meters. Separate left and right channel trims can be linked for normal stereo adjustments or unlinked when independent control is needed to correct an uneven stereo balance.

A built-in mono control allows users to check how individual tracks, buses, and full mixes behave when the left and right channels are combined. This can help identify overly wide processing, phase cancellation, and elements that lose strength during mono playback.

Gain Knob also includes polarity inversion for checking relationships between multiple microphones, layered recordings, and parallel processing paths.

Main features:

  • Main gain control for level adjustments anywhere in the signal chain.
  • Stereo input and output metering.
  • Linked or independent left and right channel trims.
  • Mono compatibility checking.
  • Polarity inversion.
  • Resizable interface.
  • Clean processing without added coloration.

Availability

Gain Knob is free and is available in VST3 for Windows and VST3 and AU for macOS.
