The Nuendo 10, which will be presented to the world public for the first time at the GDC Expo in San Francisco. Nuendo 10 is not only the direct result of Steinberg’s years of development experience, but also takes into account numerous user requests regarding audio postproduction and audio design especially for the computer games industry.

Combined with a number of enhancements, many of which are already familiar with the latest version of Cubase, Nuendo 10 is also successfully underpinning its status as an advanced media production system where professionals feel at home, “said Steinberg.

Steinberg Nuendo 10 offers a new “Video Cut Detection Analysis Function” for the editing of video content, which is able to automatically mark and edit cuts and edits with appropriate markers. The built-in Field Recorder Audio Import not only allows users to browse mobile recorder audio files, but also provides easy assignment to the right project events via available metadata and special attributes.

In addition, there are a number of new tools that will especially delight sound designers. The newly integrated virtual Doppler effect simulates the frequency change perceived by the listener, which always occurs when a sound source passes us by in space.

Also new is the VoiceDesigner, which is being touted as an ideal voice modulator using parameters such as Detune, Formant, Preserve (for pitch-shifting effects with retention of formants), Robot, Morph and FX.

Nuendo 10 will be available from the 2nd quarter of 2019. The recommended price for the boxed version of Nuendo 10, which comes with the required dongle, is 999 Euro. The download variant, however, is available for 979.

Downloads of updates and upgrades from previous versions of Nuendo 8 will be available at the Steinberg’s site. There’s no information about the upgrade prices.
