NextMIDI has announced the release of Divisimate Core, a plugin aimed at orchestrating with virtual instruments. As a mid-tier entry into the series of products designed for spreading notes across different virtual instruments in real time, Divisimate Core aims at a workflow that is more modular.
With 16 parts per plugin and a basically infinite amount of independent instances – paired with all the essential features of Divisimate 2, this plugin opens up a lot of possibilities and allows for a workflow that has been requested by a number of people.
from the official video “Divisimate Core – Overview”
Users can set up multiple independent instances of Divisimate Core in their template and address different smaller groups of instruments simultaneously. This approach is different from Divisimate 2, which enables a whole orchestra with potentially hundreds of tracks controlled through a single plugin, but only allows one instance at a time.
While some features remain reserved for the flagship, Divisimate Core includes a much more extensive selection of features than its smaller brother Divisimate Micro. Those features include scale-locked transpositions, an arpeggiator and the preset management system of the perform page which can be controlled with a MIDI remote.
Divisimate Core includes over 200 prepared orchestrations for brass, woodwinds and strings ranging from simple colors to automatic voicings to rhythmic patterns.
