DJs cancel on Meteor festival, Moogerfooger to be discontinued and Fabric upgrades Room Three.

Moogerfooger to be discontinued. After twenty years in production, the analog ‘Moogerfooger’ pedal range will be discontinued. An exclusive EP from Colleen, who uses the range in her live sets, has been shared by Moog to mark the occasion. Read more here.

MPG awards open. Submissions for the Music Producers Guild Awards will be open from September 3rd and will run until September 15th. Submissions are available to all and can be completed here.

Fabric’s Room Three gets an upgrade. Farringdon institution Fabric have upgraded the soundsystem in Room Three. The Pioneer XY System, used in Room 2 since 2016, will be powered by Powersoft amplifiers. Read more here.

Chin strokers. Drum and bass DJ Doc Scott has critisices what he calls “chin stroking purists”, for saying that Benny L’s sound does not suit the Metalheadz label. Read the full social media post here.

DJs cancel on Meteor festival. Volvox and DJ Python are the latest DJs to pull out of Meteor festival over continued concerns surrounding the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Others to have already cancelled on the Israeli festival include Chanti Celeste, DJ Seinfeld and Ross from Friends. Read more here.

Omnisphere updated. Spectrasonics have announced that Omnisphere 2.5 is now avaialble as a free download. Some of the most significant new features include hardware synth integration and expanded synthesis controls. Read more here or watch the video below.
