Real World Studios open the doors to aspiring producers. First artists announced for ADE Live 2018. SoundCloud gets an update. 

Legendary Studio Opens its Doors. Aspiring producers will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of artists such as Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Rudimental and Beyonce during an immersive three-day experience at Real World Studios. Participants will work with another music producer to create a track and by the end of the weekend, finished tracks will be released on several digital music platforms. Soundcloud Weekly. The music platform have announced SoundCloud Weekly which personalises playlists and will sit under your Discover tab. It’s also exposes some of it’s licensing limiations. More information here.

Attack of The Clones. Behringer have announced RD-909 at Knobcon in Chicago. With circuity and fimrware still in development, only the 3D printed model was available. Following on from their 808 clone earlier this year it’s an interesting development. Watch the video below filmed at Knobcon.

PyraOS 3.0. Following 5 months of testing, Squarp Instruments have revealed that PyraOS 3.0 is now available. Other than bug fixes, features include effect consolidation, custom chords in smartpad mode and the ability to copy/paste sequences. Download the update and see the full feature list here.

ADE 2018. The world’s largest club festival have revealed it’s first confirmed artists including Róisín Murphy, Agar Agar, Red Axes (live) and Eefje de Visser. Get your ADE pass here or if you’re after a single ticket, book here. The event takes place from the 17th – 21st October 2018.

New Openings. This Autumn Birmingham will welcomce a new nightclub, The Mill, in Digbeth. It comes on the back of a host of closures over the last few years so it’s good news for all. More information to be found here.

New Openings Part II.  A new four-storey venue called YES will open in Manchester later this month. The rooftop soundsystem has been Nasa approved. Buzz Aldrin was unavaible to comment but you can read more information here.

The Sound of Berlin. With interviews from Juan Atkins, Dr. Motte, Dimitri Hegemann, Marc Houle, Monolink, Pan-Pot, Mathias Kaden and more, this hour long documentary caputures the sounds and stories in Berlin’s electronic music scene. Worth a watch below.

Baron of Techno. Dave Clarke has released his line up for the14th edition of Dave Clarke Presents at Melkweg. Artists include Sam Paganini, Rebekah, a live performance by Octave One, Marcel Fengler, Mark Broom, Anetha, B.Traits, Estroe and Mr. Jones. Get your ticket here.
