Native Instruments Releases Scene: Bloodplant for Kontakt

Native Instruments has announced the release of Scene: Bloodplant, a new cinematic instrument designed for creating dystopian and industrial soundscapes. Part of the company’s “Scene” series, the library is compatible with the free Kontakt Player and the full version of Kontakt.

Targeted at media composers and sound designers, Bloodplant focuses on gritty, sci-fi textures suitable for post-apocalyptic settings. The instrument combines distorted guitars, futuristic synths, and warped audio sources into a unified engine.

The interface centers around an XY pad, allowing users to morph between 16 hybrid sound layers and control effects parameters simultaneously. The engine also includes an extensive selection of scales and modes to ensure melodic elements remain in key during performance.

Key Features

  • Sound Palette: A collection of distorted guitars, synths, and industrial textures designed for sci-fi scoring.
  • Morphing Engine: An XY pad allows for blending between 16 sound layers and various effects in real-time.
  • Content: Includes 120 snapshots (presets).
  • Scales: Built-in scale and mode selection for pitch quantization.
