It looks like Korg is preparing a new synthesizer. Recently, the image of a new analog synth, called Korg Minilogue XD appeared on the Internet and it has attracted a lot of rumors and comments among the musicians.
Korg Minilogue XD seems to be a new polyphonic analog synthesizer with an integrated digital multi-engine, similar to the Prologue synthesizer!
This is able to produce FM, sync sounds and digital waveforms. In addition, developers can write new oscillator models and new effects for this engine, which you can share with other users.
It is certainly a clever move on the part of Korg to integrate this hybrid technology into other instruments, even in lower priced ones.
Whether the Korg Minilogue XD is more expensive and will also go on sale and when or if the previous mini-logo will be replaced or if only someone has allowed a very well-made fun, is not completely clear.
We hope to see this synthesizer at NAMM 2019. Prices or official release date is not yet known.
