The software company W.A. Production presents Mutant Delay, a new effect plug-in with special features. This delay effect processor plugin contains a built-in ducker. And it mixes the original signal as transparent as possible to the actual effect.
With Mutant Delay, W.A. Production a virtual delay effect audio plugin with integrated ducker. The delay section is actually quick and easy to explain. Because this is “as usual” and equipped with the parameters dry/wet, delay times for the left and right channel (with solo button and optional sync), a high and low pass filter (with time modulation) and feedback.
The special feature of the plug-in is the built-in ducking engine. This suppresses the volume of the effect signal. And that’s dynamic. So similar to a sidechain input. This Ducker is set like a normal compressor and behaves accordingly. The result is a much clearer original sound, which is beautifully integrated into the effect. Also very nice is the real-time display of the waveform of the signal processed with the effect.
