KV331 Audio updates SynthMaster 2 to v2.9.18 on Windows, macOS and iOS

KV331 Audio has announced a new update for their SynthMaster 2 software synthesizer on Windows, macOS and iOS. This update brings new features and critical bug fixes.

New Features

  • Added Undo for preset loads (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • Added Import/Export MIDI Mappings (Win/Mac).

  • Added fade in/fade out of master volume when loading presets (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • Added Task Dialog to show progress of expansion downloads (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • Added MIDI Learn for XYView displays (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • Loading presets now take place inside the main thread to prevent crashes (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • Added system allocated memory checks to prevent crashes during preset loads (iOS).

  • Added “Map CC74 to CC1” setting to Settings Dialog (iOS).

  • Saving presets is now implemented using Files app (iOS).

  • Standalone app and AUv3 plugin now share the same documents folder (iOS).

  • License Key File Dialog is now displayed after plugin window is shown (Win/Mac).

Bug Fixes

  • SynthMaster VST3 doesn’t process MIDI CC messages correctly (Win/Mac).

  • SynthMaster might crash while changing skins (Win/Mac).

  • SynthMaster might crash while exiting if skins were changed prior to exit (Win/Mac).

  • Preset browser doesn’t list presets correctly when text is entered into preset name textbox (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • Global settings and MIDI mappings should be saved when modified (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • When user searches presets by bank name, exact string match should be user (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • MIDI Banks are not loaded correctly (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • MIDI Program Change messages should be ignored when the same PC message is received multiple times (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • When global parameter MIDI Mapping is added/removed, all plugin instances should be notified (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • LFO AR envelope might generate out of bounds values which might cause a crash (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • SynthMaster 3 VST3 might generate stuck notes when run inside FL Studio (Win/Mac).

  • When one plugin instance updates presets database, the other instances should be notified (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • CC1 and CC74 can not be MIDI Learned (Win/Mac/iOS).

  • Note Off messages don’t work correctly for multichannel (MPE) MIDI input (Win/Mac/iOS).
