Initial Audio updates SourceLab to v2.1.0 with a new random preset generator

Initial Audio has updated their SourceLab synthesiser plugin to version 2.1.0.

New Features include:

  • Includes a new “Generate preset” button to generate new presets with one click. Select your category and then a fresh preset is generated in that style.
  • Added a new Tabbed Component to the Skin Editor. Enabling more in depth UI design.
  • Select multiple components on the Skin and save as a composite. These can then be reused in other skins. Speeding up skin design.
  • Added feature where users can add extra overlapping samples in the mapper and then select round robin mode of random or sequence, these then pick a different sample to play each time a note is pressed. This works for any playback mode, so you can have round robin wavetable oscillators and also round robin loop slices.

Fixes and improvements:

  • Fixed distortion on fast and loud transients when using maintain speed or BPM sync in instrument playback mode.
  • When clicking a preset in the browser it now takes key focus and you can use the keyboard up/down left/right arrow keys to select a preset and navigate the browser.
  • General UI Improvements.
  • CPU Optimizations.

This is a free update for existing customers, just download and rerun the installer from the SourceLab product page again.
