FRCTL Audio has updated GRN, their granular effect plugin, to version 2. The update is a major feature release since v1.9, adding an integrated FX Rack, a dual LFO modulation system, and an expanded preset library.
FX Rack
The new FX Rack adds a 10-slot, drag-to-reorder effect chain directly inside the plugin. Available effect types include Bitcrusher, Chorus, Reverb, Delay, Phaser, Flanger, Distortion, Tremolo, Utility and Filter. Each slot has per-effect animated visualizers, bypass toggle, and WET/DRY/BOTH routing to process the granular output, the dry signal, or both.
Dual LFO Modulation
Two independent LFOs can be routed to any plugin parameter by dragging from the LFO waveform directly onto a knob. Seven waveform shapes are available – Sine, Triangle, Square, Saw Up, Saw Down, Sample & Hold, and Random – with tempo sync and bipolar depth control for inverted modulation.
Presets
The factory preset library has expanded to 49 presets organized across seven categories: Textures, Space, Lo-Fi, Pitch, Glitch, Rhythmic, and Creative. A one-click randomizer and user preset saving are also included.
