Frazi.er – “I Hate These Over-Saturated Main Room Sounds”

What’s the first record you ever bought?

Robert Hood – ‘School (Hood Music 2)’

The first time you remember hearing electronic music?

At a house party at 16years old, hanging out with my mate’s big brother.

Your favourite ever record?

Very hard to pinpoint just one. Ben Klock – ‘Subzero’ was an early find and a track that inspired my raw sound.

The guaranteed floor-filler?

B.K – ‘Revolution’. I played this at my first open-to-close show and every time I’ve played it, it’s destroyed the dance floor.

The guilty pleasure?

Bob Sinclair – ‘World Hold On’. A bit more on the commercial side but always absolutely loved this track. I also have a guilty pleasure for Jorja Smith which would take a lot of people by surprise. I think she’s an incredibly talented artist and singer.

The last track of the night?

My most recent edit of Rui Da Silva – ‘Touch Me’.

The best chillout record?

Darren Price – ‘Airspace’.

The record everyone loves but you hate?

In respect of the artist, I’ll keep this one to myself haha 🙂

The best record for a family party?

Ultra Nate – ‘Free’

The soundtrack to a lazy Sunday afternoon?

Flock Of Seagulls – ‘I Ran’.

The worst record you’ve ever heard?

Reinier Zonneveld – ‘Eating Concrete’. Not that it’s badly produced but I hate these over-saturated main room sounds, and it leaves the new generation thinking that every track needs to be a big room techno track.

The record you’re proudest of?

Pan-Pot – ‘Confronted (Frazi.er Raw Remix)’. Just purely because this was such a huge achievement for me at the time, and I had great fun shooting the video track in my hometown. The track became a massive hit on Youtube as well.
